Description | Researchers at the Technical University of Berlin discover a vulnerability in the Tegra ‘superprocessors’ that Nvidia, a well-known computer supplier, supplies to Tesla for the control and management of its semi-autonomous driving system ‘Autopilot’. As stated in their paper, these hackers altered the voltage of the current which feeds the processor, a very old attack method, thus obtaining, and unexpectedly, a special privilege of access to their software, not available to the public. After contacting Nvidia itself, it acknowledged the existence of the vulnerability, the solution of which is already under development. | |
