Description | Investigators from Zhejiang University and Michigan University have found a simple way to blind an autonomous vehicle. By using sound signals, they were able to alter the automatic focus mechanism of the vehicle’s cameras, blurring the image and, therefore, making it difficult for the onboard AI to process it. As a result, the car could ignore the obstacles in front of it, which could lead to accidents. | |
