Due to a software failure, the centre console switch package may suffer the loss of specific Controller Area Network (CAN) and Local Interconnected Network (LIN) functions. This could result in loss of lighting and loss of operation of certain centre console functions. If the functions fail, the hazard warning lights and vehicle defrost functionality will stop working, increasing the risk of an accident.
